Sunday March 20, 2005 marked the official opening of Australia's first and only dedicated musclecar museum, Aussie Muscle Car Museum.
AMCM is located on a semi-rural property in the Pine Rivers shire, approximately 35 minutes north of the Brisbane GPO and 20 minutes from the Brisbane airport, and an easy drive along the Bruce Highway.
Ample off-street parking is provided, seating and show facilities are supplied, and it makes a great venue for a club outing or concourse or other function.
AMCM is open to car and social clubs and general public by invitation, most 2nd and 4th Sundays with prior appointment. All dates are listed on our "Upcoming Tours" page. We encourage attendees to bring along their club or other collectible vehicle. Prior arrangements can be made for such vehicles to be exhibited inside the premises with AMCM vehicles, and photographed (if owner is agreeable) by other attendees.
Each attendee is taken on a personal private tour by owner Jeff Bloom or an appointed AMCM representative. Allow up to 3 1/2 - 4 hours for the tour & question time. Cameras and videos welcome.
Attendees are met at 10am sharp at a meeting point near the venue (address not supplied here for security and insurance reasons, but registered attendees will be given ample notification prior to the event), and tours start as soon as attendees arrive at the museum. Only 1 tour is given per event per day. Late comers may have their registration transferred to a subsequent tour date, but not refunded. Attendees may leave the venue from 30 minutes after opening. Closing time is around 3 - 3.30pm.
Admission is $20 per adult, $15 per child under 14 and student and pensioner (ID required), and includes the personal tour. Refreshments, souvenirs and merchandise are available for purchase during the tour.
Note: attendees should note AMCM is located in an old ex-chicken shed and has a run down appearance and very limited toilet facilities. Exhibits are mostly unrestored and may show some deterioration consistent with age and use. A number have been modified.
